Fairmount Crew Car
The newest edition to our collection is a Fairmount Crew car, type M14 and carries the QLD number of 733. This particular unit comes from the Rockhamption area. Which was called the Central Division.
The M14 series cars were used extensively by Queensland Railways and the New South Wales Government Railways.
These Section Cars came in three variations shown below:
M14 Light Section Car (belt drive)
MT14 Light Section Car with transmission
MT14-M Light Section Car with transmission and “Master” series features (enclosed cab).
Our example is on permanent loan from the Queensland Rollingstock Preservation Society.
